Rooms.net for AI assistants
Rooms.net runs a public Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, so an AI assistant can search rooms to rent across the UK on your behalf - and link you straight to the listings it finds.
Connect an assistant
Add this address as a custom connector or MCP server in any MCP client:
https://rooms.net/mcp
It needs no account and no key. It speaks Streamable HTTP and allows 60 requests a minute from each client.
What it can do
- search_locations - find a place to search: towns, London boroughs and neighbourhoods, postcode districts, train and tube stations, universities.
- search_rooms - search rooms to rent by place, price, room type, bills, and who the room suits, returning a link to each room.
- get_room - everything public about one room: the description, features, photos and the address of its page.
Listings are written by landlords. The server marks them as such, so an assistant can tell what we say from what an advertiser says.
Your own account
A second server at https://rooms.net/mcp/account lets an assistant read your own
applications, saved rooms, conversations and listings, after you sign in to
Rooms.net and approve it. It can only read; it cannot send messages or change
anything for you.
